Incorporated in 1975, The Loft Literary Center is the nation’s largest independent literary center. The Loft supports the artistic development of writers, fosters a writing community, and builds an audience for literature. Thousands of students register for Loft creative writing courses each year; thousands more participate in Loft readings and other events. Loft competitions, grants, and honoraria help authors pursue the writing life. Loft publications and its website bring the writing life home to literature lovers everywhere. The list of acclaimed authors who have appeared at the Loft over the years reads like a Who’s Who of American letters.

Whether you plan on writing your own cookbook to be published, write the family recipes down as gift, collect recipes for a fundraiser (Lutheran cookbooks), begin a food blog, or dream of becoming a food writer for a magazine, this class will help you structure your recipes, assist you in writing your passion for food on paper, trim off the “fat” if your write for a magazine an only have 800 words or simply want to share your love for all things food. Once your words and recipes are written down we’ll discuss marketing your work for profit or just for sharing with family and friends. No previous experience is necessary expect for a passion for all things food (and drink).  Click on the Loft Literary image above to register or for additional information.
